Reinvigorating your New Year's Resolutions
How are you doing with your new year's resolutions? If you are one of those who stuck to it - great job! Studies say up to 80% of us give them up by the middle of February. When it comes to fitness goals, they are as hard to keep as any other. Some thoughts on staying on track: - Was your goal realistic? Example: weight loss is a common goal but only 1-2 pounds per week is reasonable to lose. Example: you said you would go to the gym every day but you don't like the gym đ or maybe have commitments with the kids . Find something you do like; start small and work up. There are lots of work outs you can do at home as well. I will be posting some to check out or send me a note and I'll send you some - Did you have a plan of action? Think about how you are going to achieve your goal (including the little steps / goals along the way) and WRITE IT DOWN - How did / will you hold yourself accountable? It can be easy to procrastinate and put things off. What helps you stay on track? Perhaps it's a friend to do it with or to check in on you. A reminder in your phone or a note on your fridge. Consider hiring a personal trainer. You don't need them all the time but they can help you develop achievable goals and keep you on track. Most importantly, if you've fallen off on your resolution, it's never too late for a reset. You can DO IT! đ€© Good luck and I'm here to help!
