Tips for Losing Weight
This is one of the most common goals people have when it comes to health
First off, you're beautiful just the way you are.
But if you feel that losing a few pounds will help with your quality of life, here are some tips:
= Healthy weight loss is only 1-2 pounds per week. More and you might cause problems for your health or not be sustainable
- be wary of fad diets. If it has a name with "diet" at the end, it might be tough to maintain
= What you put in your mouth will have more impact than the fitness activities you do to try and work it off.
= Track your food. Tracking will make you more accountable to what you put inside. There are lots of good apps to help (ex. MyFitnessPal). If you don't want to do this all the time, just do it for a week; safe bet you will identify some changes that you want to make
= start small - identify no more than 2-3 changes that you want to make at a time; focus on those and add more when your good habits have been established. Maybe you sit down with a bag of chips every night; try doing just a small bowl full. Maybe it's an ice capp every day - how about 3 / week?
= Measure your progress. This can be the scale but that isn't required. Maybe a pair of pants that is too tight, you will notice progress when they start getting looser
Don't stop starting. It's easy for all of us to slip and fall back into old habits; reset and start again
You CAN DO IT!!
